"It Takes a Village"

 Let's Face It Wildfires are the new normal & most of us have no idea where to begin when it comes to how we’re supposed to protect our homes from fires that start & grow rapidly within minutes. The Village Wildfire Collective is born from just that; a single Villager who wanted to do all he could to keep safe the family that raised him & the home that provided him a solid foundation - not to mention a beautiful village to play in at the foothills of the East Bay.

I’m Zac, your neighbor & former Wildland Firefighter turned Wildfire Mitigation Specialist. I started Village Wildfire Collective because fire departments & emergency responders are stretched thin - they’re doing everything they can, but there’s only so much time and manpower. That’s where I come in. I’m not just here to help you protect your home - I’m here to help you protect your whole community. I have the time, the experience, & the know-how to help you understand your wildfire risk & what you can do to take action NOW. I want to educate 1 person so they can then go out & educate 10 more. When you learn something, you’re not just learning for yourself. You’re learning to pass it on. That’s how we create a wildfire-resilient Village, as a collective.
